CRP Industries Opens New Manufacturing Complex to Produce Advanced Electric Power Steering Systems

Initial production activities in Conway, SC focused on AAE steering components

Cranbury, NJ… CRP Industries Inc. (crpindustries.com), a leader in automotive parts and industrial products, has just opened a new manufacturing operation in Conway, SC. The state-of-the-art manufacturing plant will initially be used to produce advanced electric power steering systems for the automotive aftermarket under the company’s AAE brand, and other product lines will be incorporated over time. The new facility is online now and is expected to create approximately 115 jobs over the next five years.

The AAE programs at CRP Industries include new and remanufactured electric power steering (EPS) and hydraulic power steering (HPS) parts, as well as electric hydraulic power steering (EHPS) remanufactured parts, power steering pumps, gearboxes, and related power steering components.

The newly constructed 50,000 sq. ft. facility, located at 3084 Bashor Road in Conway, SC, was officially dedicated during a formal ribbon cutting ceremony on December 10, 2019. It was attended by CRP Industries’ executives, along with representatives from the U.S. Congress, SC Department of Employment and Workforce, Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation, Horry Georgetown Technical College, Horry County Council, and Northern Strategic Alliance. CRP Industries employees and their families also participated.

It represents an important new chapter in the growth of CRP Industries and a major step in the expansion of our capabilities both as a manufacturer and a certified re-manufacturer. CRP Industries Earns Best Reman Business Innovation Award for AAE Steering Systems brand at ReMaTec 2019

Global recognized for introducing Lean principles and semi-automation to its supply chain management

Cranbury, NJ… CRP Industries (crpindustries.com), a leader in automotive parts and industrial products, has earned the prestigious Best Reman Business Innovation Award from ReMaTec, the world’s leading platform for remanufacturing and remanufacturing news. The award, which was given during the Remanufacturer of the Year Awards in June 2019, recognizes CRP Industries for its AAE Steering Systems Components brand, which features a wide range of remanufactured electrical power steering (EPS) systems components. The ceremony took place during ReMaTec 2019, held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The Best Reman Business Innovation award, one of only three awards presented at the opening ceremonies, was judged by a panel of remanufacturing industry experts. CRP Industries was lauded for its introduction of Lean principles and semi-automation to its supply chain management at its AAE Steering Systems facility. The company has implemented new processes across most of its AAE Steering Systems reman functions, and these innovations have not only had a very positive effect on efficiency, but also helped to support an aggressive and successful EPS product launch.

Founded in 2005, the Remanufacturer of the Year Award is the most prestigious honor in remanufacturing, and has been given to some of the most prominent names in the reman industry. Representing CRP Industries at the award ceremony and accepting the award were Scott Shea, CRP Industries Chief Operating Officer and Jack Bordeau, CRP Industries Director of Remanufacturing and Steering.

CRP Automotive Earns Manufactured Again Certification for its AAE Steering System Components Brand

MERA CERTIFICATION NOTES THAT CRP INDUSTRIE’S AAE FACILITY IN TABOR CITY, NC MEETS THE SAME QUALITY STANDARDS AS A MANUFACTURING FACILITY

Cranbury, NJ… CRP Automotive (crpautomotive.com), a leading source of OE-quality replacement and service parts, has been approved as a participant in the Motor & Equipment Remanufacturers Association’s (MERA) Manufactured Again Certification program for its AAE Steering System Components remanufacturing facility.

The certification denotes that CRP Industries’s remanufacturing facilities meet the same strict quality standards held by manufacturing facilities, and is based on the internationally recognized quality management standards ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. To earn the certification, CRP was required to submit third-party evidence of conformance to these accepted quality standards.

Scott Shea, CRP Industries Chief Operating Officer, made the announcement and noted, “CRP is very honored to have received this certification. It gives our customers the confidence of knowing that our remanufacturing facilities meet the same quality standards as new manufacturing facilities and that our remanufactured products are as good, and in some cases better than new products.”
